The fundraising effort for the new Beta Tau Chapter fraternity house has continued to generate impressive results. As of March 1, 2010, more than $1.9 million for the house will have been received or pledged and more Beta Tau brothers are pledging every day. This generosity and effort by our brotherhood continues to put the Beta Tau Chapter far ahead of any other fraternity that is participating in “Phase I” of NC State’s Greek Village project.
The University continues to progress on the construction of the Greek Village infrastructure. The Beta Tau Chapter has made its infrastructure payments, becoming the first and only chapter to complete these payments thus far. The plans for the house have received all necessary approvals for construction. With construction cost at decade lows, we are approaching the time at which we can commence construction on the house. In order to take advantage of these significant potential savings, we need contributions from all our brothers as soon as possible. Our new chapter house is rapidly becoming a reality!
The Beta Tau Chapter now has 56 members, making it already one of the largest fraternities at NC State. We expect a good turn-out by the members of the Chapter at the Oyster Roast this year, so don’t miss this chance to meet our younger brothers.
Alumni support for the Beta Tau Chapter traditionally has been incredibly strong and dedicated. Our Chapter is depending on that strong support and more from each of our brothers as we continue the fundraising efforts for the construction of the new Chapter house. Members of the fundraising committee and representatives from Sigma Nu Headquarters will be at the Oyster Roast and will be available to answer any questions you have about either the fundraising effort or the recolonization process.
We hope to see you in April!
Sincerely,
BETA TAU OYSTER ROAST COMMITTEE
