The Beta Tau Chapter of Sigma Nu provides an opportunity for engagement in many philanthropic activities and community service. Our chapter has hosted several successful charity events, raised money and awareness for philanthropic causes and made a positive impact our local community.

Along with community service, our chapter also host an annual philanthropy project. The Beta Tau chapter has established an amazing partnership with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Last year, our chapter raised an outstanding $13,000+ for the cause and was recognized by the University's Department of Greek Life with the Standard of Excellence in Community Service and Philanthropy Award. In addition to the money raised, the Brothers of our Chapter each participated in an average of 31 hours of community service per member.

Finally, another commitment of our chapter is to the other Greek Letter Organizations on NC State's Campus. In participating in the philanthropies and service actives the other organizations host, we help to strengthen not only our local community, but our Greek Community as well. Some notable philanthropies and partnerships our Chapter has participated are: Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash to benefit Service for Sight, Delta Zeta's Turtle Tug to benefit the Painted Turtle Foundation, and Delta Delta Delta's Chili Cook Off for the Cure to benefit the St. Jude's Foundation.
